Hunter’s Withdrawal Therapy via Whitetail Adrenaline DVD’s

Whitetail Adrenaline DVD

As hunting season gets closer, I get more anxious.

I can only shoot my arrows, sharpen my knives and re-organize my gear so many times before it qualifies as a certifiable complex.

The woods are a thick green. Spider webs entangle every man-sized path, and the forest seems to be teeming with life. It calls to us like a siren does the sailor. Every morning as I leave for work, my climbing stand is giving me the “puppy dog eyes” and my truck mocks me about it’s clean, non-muddy tires. If I don’t do something about this – I’m going to go crazy. Ever been there?

Before I tell you my favorite way to “scratch the itch” of hunting withdrawals, I want to explain a philosophy I have. I try to live by this simple idea:

When presented with a choice between two activities, choose the least pale option.

This policy leads me towards outdoor, active things more often than towards a couch, TV or YouTube. If one option keeps me inside (pale), I try to choose the other. However, I do make one exception…

EXCELLENT HUNTING DVD’S!

Yes, I know, DVD’s go against the philosophy. The way I look at it is this: If I watch the DVD’s, they make me want to get outside and hunt. By staying inside for a while, I am motivated to stay outdoors for a much longer period of time. The math works out on that, right? Ok, now that I’m feeling self-justified, let’s get on to the hunting DVD’s.

One of the best DVD’s available to hunters right now is called Whitetail Adrenaline.

For the more than 5 years, Jared and the guys at Whitetail Adrenaline have been putting out incredible products. I personally own every DVD they’ve produced to date, and have already pre-ordered the next. Each DVD is just as captivating as the next, and you don’t want to miss any of the action. Below you’ll see some pretty big news coming from Whitetail Adrenaline today, but first I want to try to explain why I dig these DVD’s so much.

The Brotherhood.

From the beginning of the very first DVD and throughout the series, you feel like part of a brotherhood. Jared, Jimmy and the rest of the guys are old friends having a great time together. As you watch, you can’t help but get drawn into their story, adventures, and camaraderie. If you watch long enough, you’ll find yourself laughing at inside jokes like a “Jimmy Buck”. The series does a fantastic job bringing the viewer right into the hunt with the guys, and making you feel like one of the guys.

Reality Hunting.

My favorite thing about the Whitetail Adrenaline series is that it is reality based. Most deer hunting shows and DVD’s feature professional hunters shooting huge deer from pre-set stands while hunting at private ranches with expensive outfitters. I have trouble connecting with those shows. The distance between my life and that type of hunting is so great, I usually watch for 5 minutes and walk off to do something else.

This is NOT the case with Whitetail Adrenaline. These guys are hunting public land, and in their last few DVD’s from the ground only. They hunt out-of-state on a tight budget and get it done. They hunt hard and make mistakes, which reminds me of my own experience. The DVD’s are a great value and include hours of footage (the latest is over 3 hrs!). Even though they are long, I find myself glued to the TV. They are as close to reality as it gets, and the average guy can relate to their experiences.

Bold Tactics.

These guys do some crazy stuff! In one DVD, they spot-n-stalk a whitetail through thick timber while he is bedded. In another, they creep in on a whitetail in tall grass. They are quick to cover ground and go to where the deer are. You won’t find many long sits in a treestand on WA. The trailer for their 2013 DVD shows Jared stalking in on a deer holding a bow in one hand and a decoy in the other. One thing is for sure, Whitetail Adrenaline DVD’s will literally get your adrenaline pumping! Thanks to these guys, I think I’ll spend a little more time on the ground with my bow this year…

Shared Experience.

Not only will your heart be pounding when they are crawling within 30 yards of a huge buck, but you’ll find yourself smiling and brokenhearted alongside them throughout the films. The emotions of the hunt are well displayed in the WA series. When they work so hard to get close and then everything falls apart, you feel the pain. When a nice buck comes out of nowhere and walks right to them, you appreciate the craziness of the woods. As you watch, you’ll feel all the glory and disappointment right along with the characters. It’s truly an experience.

Narrative.

Along the way, the guys overcome obstacle after obstacle. From nursing their Avalanche along through the twilight hours of the morning, to ripping the oil pan out from under their Sable, they have a rough go of it. In one scene, Jimmy spends some time sweet talking the local cops, and in another their deer is stolen off the tailgate by a landowner who’d mistaken them. The story Whitetail Adrenaline puts together year after year is as engaging as it is heart-pounding. I can’t wait to settle in one night and lock into their new release for 2013! Which brings me to my next tip…

Whitetail Adrenaline Banner

Their newest DVD for 2013 is releasing TODAY! I’ve already placed my pre-order here, and can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for this year. The new DVD is over 3 hours long and is sure to be their best yet. I own every single DVD they have put out over the last 5 years and can’t pick a favorite. You can see all their products in the Whitetail Adrenaline store. They say the new “Calm Before The Storm” DVD captures some of the craziest stalks they’ve ever filmed! I don’t know how it get’s more crazy than their previous  DVD’s, but I can’t wait to see.

I highly recommend Whitetail Adrenaline, and I do not make any money from these links! I am in no way affiliated or sponsored by Whitetail Adrenaline. Truth be told: I just stinking love what these guys have going and want to support them any way I can.

I totally agree. You never see “the other guys” do deer drives or butcher a deer next to the road. Lol. This reminds me so much of our hunting group. Great videos and excellent real life experiences for my sons to watch. You get the heartache, stories and excitement in every dvd. They just get better every year! Keep it up guys!

Thanks for the input Matt. I agree with you, it does keep getting better. The new DVD looks like it is going to be their best yet. They really have figured out the “secret sauce”.
